FAQ
-
What breeds do you offer?
We specialize exclusively in Yorkshire Terriers β including traditional, parti, teacup, and micro sizes. All puppies are raised in-home with constant socialization and care.
-
Where are you located?
We are located in Jacksonville, Florida and serve families across Florida and the entire United States through delivery options.
-
Are your puppies registered?
Registration depends on the parents of each litter:
Some of our puppies come with AKC or ACA registration, depending on the sire and dam.
Other puppies may be pet-only with no registration if the mother does not have formal breeding papers.
Penny is part of the AKC Canine Partners Program, which recognizes her for performance and identification, but she does not have breeding papers.
Each puppy listing will clearly state whether registration is included.
-
Do you allow visits?
For the safety of our puppies, we do not allow in-person visits before pickup. Young puppies have very fragile immune systems, and limiting outside exposure helps keep them healthy and protected.
We also understand that people are scammed every day when trying to buy a puppy, which is why we happily offer FaceTime calls so you can meet us, see your puppy live, and feel completely confident throughout the process.
We provide:
β ββ Live FaceTime or video calls
β ββ Frequent updated photos and videos
β ββ A scheduled pickup once your puppy is ready to go home
This allows families to feel safe and informed, while still prioritizing the puppiesβ health.

Difference Between What is the difference between standard Toy , Teacup & Micro Teacup Yorkies
πΎ Standard / Toy Yorkie (AKC Recognized)
4β7 lbs full grown
This is the official AKC size. These Yorkies are sturdy, well-balanced, and great for families with children or active households.πΎ Teacup Yorkie
Under 5 lbs full grown (typically 3.5β4.9 lbs)
These are smaller than the standard size. They have a finer bone structure and usually require a bit more delicate handling. They make wonderful companions for calm homes or adult households.πΎ Micro Teacup Yorkie
Under 3.5 lbs full grown (typically 2.5β3.3 lbs)
This is the smallest and rarest size. Micros are extremely tiny and require extra care, supervision, and a safe, stable environment. They are best suited for homes withoutβ βsmall children or large pets. -
Do you guarantee a puppyβs adult weight?
No breeder can guarantee a Yorkieβs exact adult weight. While we track growth closely, weight is always an estimate, not a promise.
At Yorktown Yorkies, we do our best to give accurate expectations based on:
β β βParent weights
β ββ Birth weight
β ββ Weekly growth charts
β Bone structure and frame
β Previous litters with similar pairings
These tools help us provide a very close estimate, but genetics can always vary slightly. Because of this, adult weight cannot be guaranteed β but we are always transparent and honest about what we expect your puppy to be.
-
What age can puppies go home?
Puppies are ready to go home at 10β12 weeks, depending on size and development.
-
Do your puppies come vaccinated?
Yes β puppies receive:
β First set of vaccinations
β Multiple dewormings
β Vet clearance before going home
Additional vaccines after 12 weeks may increase the final price.
-
Why do puppy prices change as they get older?
Puppy pricing can change as a Yorkie grows because we gain a clearer picture of their size, coloring, and unique traits. These factors can significantly affect value, especially in small breeds like Yorkshire Terriers.
As puppies get older, we can more accurately see:
β Their true adult size (some remain smaller than expected, which increases value)
β Coat color and pattern development
β Structure, face shape, and overall quality
β Personality and temperament
β Rarity of certain features (micro size, parti coloring, thicker coats, shorter muzzles, etc.)
Because these traits become more defined with age, pricing may adjust to reflect the puppyβs final qualities.
This ensures families receive a fair, accurate price based on the puppyβs true characteristics β not early guesses.
