From Puppy to Adult

A quick look at how these tiny puppies grow into distinctive family companions.

Premium by design

We don't compete on cheap. We compete on proof.

Yorktown is intentionally small and high-touch. Our best-fit families value what happens before homecoming just as much as the moment they meet their puppy.

That means individualized observation, transparent records, developmental preparation, careful matching, and access to a breeder who remains invested after the puppy leaves our home.

Before you apply

Questions thoughtful families ask.

Clear expectations create better matches. If your question is not answered here, call or text Yorktown directly.

Why does a Yorktown puppy cost more?

The placement range reflects an intentionally small, high-touch program: close newborn monitoring, veterinary partnership, developmental preparation, transparent records, careful matching, a prepared homecoming experience, and personal support after pickup. It is not based on an adult-size label or guarantee.

Does applying reserve a puppy?

No. An application begins Yorktown's private placement review. A puppy is not reserved until Yorktown approves the match, provides the puppy-specific written terms, and confirms the required reservation deposit.

When can a puppy go home?

Yorktown puppies generally go home between 10 and 12 weeks of age, after they are developmentally ready and cleared by our veterinarian. The individual puppy determines the final homecoming date.

Can I meet the puppies before choosing?

We offer FaceTime or video introductions, frequent photo updates, and carefully scheduled visits when they are safe and appropriate for the litter. Protecting young puppies from avoidable illness remains the priority.

Do you guarantee adult size?

No responsible breeder can guarantee an exact adult weight. Yorktown can share a thoughtful estimate based on the parents, pedigree, structure, and growth, but genetics and development vary.

What are the pickup and delivery options?

Families may pick up near Jacksonville, use an approved in-cabin flight nanny, or arrange personal delivery when available. Yorktown never places a puppy in airline cargo. Delivery availability and cost are confirmed for the individual placement.
